In your Dial-Up networking folder, find the USA.Irene.net
connection you just made. Right click on it to bring
up the menu. Select Properties. |

In the General settings, make sure that the box for
"Use area code and dialing properties" is
UNCHECKED. To continue, click on OK.
Note: Your version may look slightly different. There
may be only 3 tabs and the box may say "Use country
code and area code" instead. |

In the Server Types settings, make sure that only
the "Enable software compression" and "TCP/IP"
boxes are checked. To continue, click on TCP/IP
Settings... |

Make sure that the TCP/IP settings look like this.
To finish, click on OK to close the TCP/IP settings
box and click on OK again from the Server Types
box to close the properties dialog. Your connection
is now property configured to work with a single, dial-up
access account. |

| Note: This setup is for a standard, single
access dial up account. If you are using a static IP
or dual access account, please adjust your settings
as required. If you are accessing your USA.Irene.net
account from a networked environment, please verify
your connection with your network administrator. |
